Sadly my favorite pizza place, Jules Thin Crust, has closed in my hometown. If you live in city that still has a Jules then you are one of the lucky ones. Jules has 9 locations ranging from Princeton, NJ to Oakland, CA.
Jules takes Celiac and allergy friendly to another level. They work with the “Gluten Intolerance Group of North America” to best serve Celiac customers. Their dough is certified gluten free and their staff is trained on how to serve and prepare to avoid cross contamination. In the Cherry Hill location they used to sell Sweet Freedom Bakery baked goods, a top 8 allergy friendly bakery in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area.
Per their website their gluten free dough ingredients are:
Buckwheat Flour* (PA locations), Brown Rice Flour (CA locations), Potato Starch, Tapiaco Starch, Xantham Gum, Navy Pea Flour, Egg Yolk, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Salt and Sugar.
My favorite pie was the Brooklyn, fresh mozzarella, parmesan, garlic, oregano, with a drizzle of organic tomato sauce. It is thin crust, but you cannot even tell that it is gluten free (except for the gluten free stamp on the box). I am keeping my fingers crossed that the owner decides to open a new location in the area.
Address: Multiple Locations
The restaurant does contain allergens so be sure to notify them of all food allergies to reduce the risk of cross contamination.
